Resolutions

They say that the third time is a charm but I’m hoping my second attempt yields some success. Why the absence? Much to do with procrastination and lack of a clear vision. With so many witty, intellectual and insider fashion blogs out there what does someone like me, an armchair observer of arts and culture, have to contribute to the already oversaturated landscape?

First, let me tip my Yedstat bowler to the beautiful bloggers around the world who have been hitting the pavement and reporting back from many years now. You gals (and guys) make my fashion life that much more exciting. Second, let me add that my intention reviving this blog is to justify my disproportionate fascination with beautiful things. No, I can’t cook , I do not do not travel extensively (the economy hasn’t been very kind to me) and I do not rescue puppies. Yet, I know more about fashion than I do the state of US foreign policy and spend more time reading WWD than AdAge.com (shame on me); I’m drowning in fashion magazines, I have every blog bookmarked on my delicious homepage and I roll deep with a crew of fashion insiders and designers. Might as well capitalize on the goldmine.

Rolling with the original idea of an ADD-inspired tribute to all things that make your heart sigh I re-embark on a mission to celebrate the fleeting, the new and emerging, the pulse igniting the forever classics and true aesthetic investments.
